The Primary School

  •  Pedagogical approaches to early childhood education include a developmentally appropriate curriculum, child-centered activities, and play-based learning.

  • The central aim is to develop a lifelong love of learning in children by encouraging their natural curiosity and providing hands-on experiences to explore and discover.

 Residential Living Center

NMCS is a residential school.The facilities provide a warm, safe, and nourishing environment for students. The boy’s wing of the hostel was inaugurated in the year 2003 and the girl’s wing was inaugurated in 2004.​​​ Many modern amenities are readily available to students to ensure obstacle free living and education. There is an in-house infirmary and nurse available to students on campus at any time.​ First Aid and the immediate treatment of common cold, flu, stomach flu, viral etc is readily available to all students whenever needed.

Library

The library was inaugurated in 2006. It contains over 5000 books covering all genres. The library was built to promote reading and acquiring knowledge, a love of learning, and curiosity for new information.

Auditorium & Multi Purpose Hall

The auditorium was inaugurated on 14th August 2009 by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The multi-purpose hall is utilized for cultural, social, and educational events, programs, and workshops.​ Student performances and school assembly are regular events. The auditorium is fully equipped with technology, bathrooms, and flexible seating to enable a diverse set of functions and needs.

Dining Hall

Students are provided nourish meals in the dining hall. The Hall is also used for recreational activities, prayer and chanting, and other social and communal activities.​

Ecological and Sustainable Design

Ladakh is one of the highest altitude plateau arid regions known to man. Winters face extreme and harsh conditions. The buildings on the campus are built on the principles of passive solar architecture. The design of the building is made in such a way that it absorbs heat from the sun and stores it as long as possible in the most eco-friendly and sustainable way as possible.
