High School Expansion

NMCS is currently planning to build a new high school facility. NMCS received approval from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to establish a new high school in 2025. With the approval, NMCS is required to build a new high school facility. Without the building, NMCS will not be licensed to operate a high school.

NMCS has completed a strategic planning and design process to establish a unique high school for over 75 villages throughout Ladakh. The new High School facility will be a 15,000 square foot building including:

​

  • 12 Academic Core Classrooms

  • Applied Research and Sustainability Center 

  • Technology & Innovation Hub

  • Arts Center

  • High School Residential Living Center

  • Meditation Hall

  • Faculty Work Spaces

  • Courtyards, Commons, and Green Space
